Giving comfort, honoring greatness.
We are a 501(c)(3) Non-profit, to collect socks for homeless shelters.
On August 15, 2017 Ben Miller died unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm. He always loved to help people and was always making someone’s life better or helping someone that typically was overlooked. Ben loved new socks, so much so that no birthday or Christmas was complete without them. While nothing will ever bring him back, this is a way to honor his memory and to help those that have so little. Thus the idea of collecting socks to give to homeless shelters was born.
SOCKS ARE THE NUMBER ONE ASKED FOR ITEM IN HOMELESS SHELTERS AND ARE IN THE SHORTEST SUPPLY.
Ben lived 12655 days. My goal was to donate one pair of socks for each day he lived. In 4 years this goal was surpassed by the outpouring of support from family, friends and complete strangers. We have supported 7 shelters in 4 communities. Next time you think your donation of even one pair of socks doesn’t matter, just remember that your act of kindness has made a difference in another person’s life. Kindness creates ripples we can’t imagine. We can change the world with one act of kindness at a time.
